For centuries, Phoenician ships carried ideas, culture, and knowledge across the Mediterranean. Lebanese American University’s New York campus continues that legacy — connecting its heritage to new opportunities in a global city. This rebrand explores how historic symbolism can be translated into a contemporary identity that reflects both LAU’s roots and its forward-looking presence in New York.

Objective

Develop a modernized logo and visual identity for LAU New York that remains connected to the university’s heritage while appealing to prospective students. The work needed to balance tradition and modernity, creating a flexible mark and visual system that could function across digital, print, and campus applications.

My Role

Collaborated with a team of designers to explore logo concepts and visual directions for the LAU New York identity. Contributed to concept development and refinement while helping translate selected design directions into a cohesive visual system. Developed the brand guidelines that define logo usage, typography, color, and layout to ensure consistency across future communications.
